The grievance of the petitioner is that the appeal which had been filed on 12.1.2018 was not being decided and, therefore, a prayer for a direction has been made that the appeal be decided within a stipulated period of time.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as per Clause 13(3), an appeal which has been filed under Clause 13(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Essential Commodities (Regulation of Sale and Distribution Control) Order, 2016, was required to be decided within a period of 60 days from its filing.
Since the appeal itself has been filed in the month of February, 2018, and proceedings were initiated thereafter, it is being directed that the Appeal itself be decided within a period of one month from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
The writ petition is disposed of.
