Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents and have perused the record.
Present petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent no. 2 to decide the appeal of the petitioner being Appeal No. 88 of 2017 filed by the petitioner within stipulated and reasonable period.
The petitioner was a fair price shop dealer. The dealership of the petitioner was suspended on 16.5.2017. Challenging the said order, the petitioner filed an appeal being Appeal No. 88 of 2017 before the respondent no. 2. He thus prays for expeditious disposal of the appeal.
Present petition is accordingly dispose of with a direction to the respondent no. 2 to hear and decide the said appeal of the petitioner himself or any other competent Officer duly authorized by him, in accordance with law by reasoned and speaking order, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of filing of a certified copy of this order before the respondent no. 2.
With the aforesaid observation/direction, this writ petition is finally disposed of. No order as to costs.
