By order dated 7.10.2016 in Public Interest Litigation No.49469 of 2016 filed by the applicant, a direction was issued to District Magistrate to hold enquiry against respondent no.7 to the writ petition i.e. Chairman, Nagar Panchayat, Dildar Nagar, Tehsil Zamania, Ghazipur with regard to alleged illegal appointments made by him and misuse of public money.
Counsel for the applicant admits that on 23.8.2017 an order has been passed by District Magistrate, Ghazipur in purported compliance of the direction issued by the Writ Court. However, her grievance is that all the issues raised by the applicant have not been dealt with so far. However, he does not dispute that some of the issues are still under investigation, as is borne out from letter dated 30.8.2017 by Officer Incharge, Local Body.
In such view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to proceed in contempt against the opposite party at this stage.
The contempt application is disposed of accordingly.
