JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.
2. This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to select and appoint the petitioner as a Fireman, on the basis of his performance in the test conducted by the respondent for such recruitment.
3. In paragraph-3 of the reply affidavit filed on behalf of the respondent, it has been stated that the cut off mark for the Backward Class community was 63.50. Since the applicant had not secured the required cut off mark, he was not selected on merit.
4. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has not refuted the statements made on behalf of the respondent.
5. In such circumstances, this Court is of the considered view that the petitioner has not shown sufficient cause or reason for granting the reliefs, as prayed for by him.
