The expert report dated 15.06.2018 obtained by respondent no.3 has been placed before the Court is taken on record to submit that the answer given by the petitioner to question no.14 of question Booklet Series-B i.e. "अननकक लन" is not correct, and the correct answer is "ववतववरण कक सवथ सवममजसय" i.e. adaptation of plant or animal with its environment.
A perusal of the key answer indicates that three answers to question no.14 of Question Booklet Series-B have been stated to be correct therein which are; "अननकक लन"; "Adaptation"; "ववतववरण कक सवथ सवममजसय". The word "Adaptation" as per the Webster's Dictionary is a 'Noun' which means the act or process of adapting; the condition of being adapted/(Biology meaning of which is) an inherited or acquired structure or function serving to fit a plant or animal for its environment. The word "अननकक लन" is hindi translation of "adaptation", the same, therefore, is found correct. On the basis of opinion of the expert dated 15.06.2018, it cannot be said that the answer given by the petitioner is incorrect.
It is admitted that the petitioner has obtained '66' marks in the original result and there has been no change in the re- evaluation, and answer to question no.14 has been assigned "Zero" mark.
For the aforesaid, the re-evaluation done by the respondent no.3 is found incorrect. One mark is to be provided to answer to question no.14 to the petitioner and his result is to be revised, accordingly.
The respondent no.3 namely Secretary, Examination Regulatory Authority, U.P. at Allahabad is directed to declare the revised corrected result, as aforesaid, by uploading it at the website, within a fortnight from today.
