Heard learned counsel for the petitioners; learned A.G.A. for the respondents 1, 2 and 3; and perused the record.
The instant petition seeks quashing of the first information report dated 21.11.2019 registered as Case Crime No.607 of 2019, under Sections 366, 120-B IPC, P.S. Gurusahaiganj, District Kannauj.
This petition has been filed jointly by the victim and the accused by claiming that the abductee is an adult and that she is voluntary with the accused-petitioner no.2.
The learned counsel for the petitioners, however, states that the victim Gauri Chaurasia has been taken away by her family members and, therefore, he is now not in a position to produce the victim.
In view of the above, the investigation would have to be brought to its logical conclusion and, therefore, no interference is called for, at this stage. In case the statement of the victim is recorded and the same is in favour of the petitioners, then the petitioners would be at liberty to file a fresh petition.
With the aforesaid liberty, the petition is disposed off.
