JUDGMENT / ORDER

Court No. - 3
Case :- WRIT - A No. - 6679 of 2018 Petitioner :- Gangadeen Verma Respondent :- State Of U.P. And Another Counsel for Petitioner :- Karan Singh Yadav Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C.
Hon'ble Pankaj Mithal,J. Hon'ble Saral Srivastava,J.
The petitioner retired from the service of the Irrigation Department on 31st May, 2013. On retirement he has been paid terminal benefits amounting to Rs.8,47,544/-.
The contention of the petitioner is that the aforesaid amount is not the correct and full amount of the terminal dues admissible to him and that a sum of Rs. 1,52,456/- is still due and payable to him. There is no basis on which the petitioner is claiming the aforesaid balance amount, nonetheless since the matter relates to the terminal benefits and the petitioner has made a representation dated 17.11.2017 to the Chief Engineer- respondent no. 2, we dispose of the writ petition with the direction to the respondent no. 2 to consider the above representation of the petitioner after verifying, if any amount remains to be due and payable to the petitioner and decide the same in accordance with law most expeditiously.
