JUDGMENT / ORDER

When the matter was called out, learned counsel, Mr.M.M. Barot has requested and reiterated his grievances and has also submitted that no progress is made and the Court may at-least examine about the progress of the investigation made by the State in such matter.
Learned Government Pleader Mr.Prakash Jani appearing for State has placed on record the progress report of the details and has specifically stated about the steps, which are taken till date. He has further stated that the Police Officers In-charge of the Police Station i.e. the Police Inspector or Police Sub-Inspector, as the case may be, shall carry out the investigation in such cases of missing child and it would be reported to the Dy.S.P., who will supervise such investigation. He has also stated that the squad has been created to gear up such investigation and the Government is not only sensitive and concerned for such incident but even would consider for other suitable measures over and above the Police Organization. He has stated that they may consider it on a larger prospective involving NGOs or other persons and the Police personnel are also deployed at various places to keep watch for preventing such incidents, for which, he has referred to some of the details. He has also referred to fax message made by the Additional Director General of Police, CID Crime, Gandhinagar to all the Police Commissioners for taking suitable measures as stated in the fax message. He has also stated that if some time may be granted, they would place before the Court further progress report. He has also submitted that for this particular incident and the investigation of this case, it is being investigated and the investigation is in progress, where it is being reported to DSP directly. Learned counsel, Mr.Barot has no objection if some time is granted.
Therefore, taking into consideration the aforesaid submissions, the matter is adjourned to 23 rd July, 2012.
However, it is required to be noted that the suitable measures may be taken for not only monitoring the investigation in such cases at the D.S.P. level but should be directly monitored under the Additional DGP or IGP, CID Crime for proper coordination and suitable guidance or the expeditious progress of the investigation.
