JUDGMENT / ORDER

This matter pertains to matrimonial proceedings before the Family Court, Chennai.
2. Husband, who filed a petition for divorce, is the Revision petitioner before this Court.
3. This Revision Petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India (hereinafter referred as 'COI' for the sake of brevity).
4. The prayer before this Court is limited to having the matter expedited before the Family Court. Considering the limited prayer, and also considering the fact that this petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, this Court is of the view that it is not necessary to put the respondent on notice, more so, in the light of the nature of the order, I propose to pass.
5. It is seen from the records that the original petition filed by the husband for divorce, is of the year 2013. We are in 2017 now. It is also seen from the records that the pleadings were not completed for more than 3 years. In 2013, in Original Petition counter was filed and pleadings were completed only on 12.02.2016. The order sheet shows that thereafter there have been nearly 22 hearings and not much progress has been made. M.SUNDAR. J., gv/sai Owing to all that have been stated supra, the II Additional Family Court, Chennai, is directed to dispose of the OP.No.1264 of 2013 as expeditiously as possible and in any event, within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 03.04.2017 gv/sai Note: Issue order copy by 06.04.2017.
