JUDGMENT / ORDER

IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT HYDERABAD FOR THE STATE OF TELANGANA & THE STATE OF ANDHRA PRADESH (Special Original Jurisdiction) THURSDAY, THE TWENTY EIGHTH DAY OF AUGUST TWO THOUSAND AND FOURTEEN PRESENT THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V. AFZULPURKAR WRIT PETITION No. 16920 of 2014 BETWEEN G.Srikanth Reddy ... PETITIONER AND The District Collector, Ranga Reddy and others ...RESPONDENTS The Court made the following:
ORDER:
Heard.
2. An order of resumption was passed against the petitioner by respondent No.5 vide proceedings No.B/1053/2011 dated 27.06.2011. Aggrieved by the said order, petitioner preferred an appeal and the said appeal, which is numbered as B-1/3767 of 2011, is stated to be pending before respondent No.3. Alleging inaction in taking up the appeal and passing orders, the present writ petition is filed.
3. Though the learned Government Pleader for Revenue was required to get instructions on 20.6.2014 and on four further occasions thereafter, ultimately as no instructions were forthcoming, interim directions were issued on 27.06.2014 directing status quo, with regard to the land claimed by the petitioner viz., Survey No.473/2 admeasuring Ac.2-00 guntas of Nagaram Village, Ranga Reddy District, to be maintained. Said interim order was further extended from time to time.
4. It is now represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Government Pleader that respondent No.3 has given a notice fixing the date of hearing of the appeal as 01.09.2014.
In view of that, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No.3 to hear and decide the said appeal on the date so fixed or on any other adjourned date thereafter, but, in any case, within two months from today and pass appropriate orders in the said appeal in accordance with law. Since the order of status quo already granted by this court is in force since 27.06.2014, the same will continue to remain in force till the disposal of the appeal. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
