ORDER R. DEVDAS J., (ORAL):
The petitioner who was working as superintendent in Sahyadri Science College, Kuvempu University, Shivamogga was placed under suspension by an order dated 06.07.2016. After the completion of the enquiry, the petitioner was dismissed from service on 20.01.2018. The petitioner has preferred an appeal under Clause 18(3) of the Mysore University (Classification, Control & Appeal) Statutes, 1987 before the Chancellor - respondent No.1. The appeal has been filed on 11.10.2018. The petitioner seeks a direction to the Chancellor to consider and dispose of the appeal within a time frame.
2. In the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the opinion that the prayer made by the petitioner is reasonable. Therefore, while disposing of this petition, the Chancellor - respondent No.1 is requested to consider and dispose of the appeal as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
