This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to register a case based on the complaint dated 08.02.2017 given by the petitioner and investigate the matter in accordance with law.

The petitioner has given a complaint dated 08.02.2017 to the second respondent stating that on the promise given by one Tamil Selvi, w/o.Umapathy, who was working as a noon-meal scheme programmer at Veedikaranur Government School, Salem District that she would provide a Cooking Assistant job to the petitioner, the petitioner has given a sum of Rs.1,30,000/- to the said Tamil Selvi, but neither the job was secured nor the amount returned. Since no action was taken, the present Criminal Original Petition has been filed.
3. Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice for the respondents.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent police is directed to enquire into the matter after calling both parties and thereafter proceed in accordance with law. The said exercise has to be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
