RESPONDENTS ORDER:
In view of the death of the counsel on record, this Court directed the Registry to issue notice to the petitioner by indicating the next date of hearing. In compliance of the same, the Registry issued notice dated 26.09.2014 to the petitioner showing the next date of hearing as 13.10.2014. The said notice came back with an endorsement “no such person”. Therefore this court on 13.10.2014 directed the Registry to post the writ petition by showing the name of the petitioner also in the cause list. When the matter was listed on 17.10.2014 there was no representation, as such, this Court directed the matter to be listed today under the caption “For Dismissal”. Even today there is no representation for the petitioner. In the circumstances, this Court left with no option except to dismiss the writ petition for non-prosecution.
Accordingly the writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, if any, stands closed.
