Petitioner is the 4th accused in O.R.No.6 of 2014 of the Palode Forest Range Office for the offences under the Kerala Forest Act and Kerala Forest Produce Transit Rules, is in custody from 02.05.2014 and seeks bail.
2. Learned Public Prosecutor has opposed the application.
It is submitted that the petitioner and others possessed and transported 7 dried sandal wood pieces. It is also submitted that investigation is not completed.
3. I have heard the learned Public Prosecutor and learned counsel for the petitioner. It is submitted that the application filed by accused Nos.1 to 3 was rejected by this Court vide order dated 23.05.2014 in B.A.Nos.3497 and 3510 of 2014.
4. Having heard both sides, I do not find reason to take a different view in this matter. The request for bail cannot be allowed at this stage.
The application is dismissed without prejudice to the petitioner moving again after the investigation has progressed.
