Heard learned counsel for the petitioners.
The petitioners by means of the present writ petition have sought a direction upon the respondent no.2-Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Kanpur to decide the application dated 05.11.2018 under Section 25(2) (v) (a) and (b) of the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Rules, 1971, on which notice has been issued by him on 20.12.2018.
Grievance of the petitioners is that the aforesaid application has been filed in the year 2018 and more than three years have passed but the application has not been decided till date. The petitioners want a direction to the respondent no.2 to decide the said application within a time bound period.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and without adverting into merit of the case, the writ petition is disposed off with the direction to the respondent no.2 Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Kanpur to decide the application dated 05.11.2018 under Section 25(2) (v) (a) and (b) of the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Rules, 1971, within a period of six months from the date of production of copy of this order after giving notice or opportunity of hearing to all the parties .
With the observations made above, the writ petition is disposed off.
