The petitioner, who is defendant in a suit instituted by one Devi Ram (since deceased), has filed the instant petition praying for issuance of a direction to the trial court to decide the suit expeditiously. According to him, the suit was instituted in the year 2000 (Original Suit No.132 of 2000), but later on, it was assigned a new number 763 of 2017. The said suit is stated to be pending at present before Civil Judge (Junior Division) Chhata, Mathura.
Having regard to the fact that the suit is of the year 2000, the instant petition is disposed of by directing the trial court to make all endeavour to decide the suit expeditiously, without granting unnecessary adjournments to the parties, provided there is no legal impediment.
