This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents not to form new metal road over and above the petitioner's punja lands admeasuring 0.16.0 Hectares and the channel situate in Survey No.221A/4A, Sentankadu II bit in Pattukottai Taluk, Thanjavur District.

3.The case of the petitioner is that the fifth respondent planned to form a metal road over and above the petitioner's punja lands admeasuring 0.16.0 Hectares and the channel, situate in Survey No.221A/4A, Sentankadu II bit in Pattukottai Taluk, Thanjavur District, under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and he made representations to all the respondents, seeking to stop the same. But, the fifth respondent has not chosen to stop the said proposal. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
4.The learned counsel appearing for the fifth respondent panchayat would submit that now the village panchayat has not executed any work and after getting approval from the authorities concerned, the proposal for forming new metal road, will be considered.
5.Recording the same, this writ petition is disposed of, leaving it open to the authorities concerned to proceed with the laying of road, only under due process of law. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
