JUDGMENT / ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Mahila Court, Allikulam to complete the trial in DVC No.115 of 2016, which was originally numbered as CC No.10785 of 2014. 2. It is the case of the petitioner that the respondents 1 to 5 are the husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sisters-in- law of the petitioner. She filed a complaint in the year 2014 against the respondents. The said complaint was initially taken on file as CC No.10785 of 2014 and thereafter, it was transferred to the Mahila Court, Allikulam and renumbered as DVC No.115 of 2016. However, till date, the same is yet to be disposed of. Hence, this petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials placed before this Court. Despite the service of notice and the name of the respondents having been printed in the cause list, there is no representation on their behalf either in person or through the learned counsel.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the trial court to expedite the trial in DVC No.115 of 2016, which was originally numbered as CC No.10785 of 2014 pending on the file of the Mahila Court, Allikulam and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
