The present petition challenges an order dated 27.10.2017 passed by the Assistant Labour Commissioner/Controlling Authority under the Payment of Gratuity Act by which payment of gratuity to the respondent no.2 has been directed.
Against an order of the Controlling Authority, the petitioner has an alternative remedy under Section 7(7) of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972. Therefore, this petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to avail alternative remedy, if so advised.
