JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition is filed challenging the order demanding the arrears of electricity charges and dis-connection of electricity power in the premises of the writ petitioner.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent Board submits that still the writ petitioner has to pay the arrears of Rs.8,842/- (Rupees Eight Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Two Only) and the amount has not been paid. Further, the electricity connection is also not restored in the premises of the writ petitioner.
3. It is left open for the Electricity Board to initiate the appropriate action against the writ petitioner to collect the entire arrears of electricity charges, along with penalty, if any, under the regulations and only on payment of entire arrears of electricity charges from the writ petitioner as per the regulations, the restoration of service connection may be considered.
4. Since the writ petitioner has not shown any interest for restoration of the electricity connection, this Court is not inclined to consider the grounds raised in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. However, no order as to costs.
