JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehend arrest for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 323, 324, 506(ii) of IPC r/w Section 3(1)(r)& (s) of SC/ST (POA) Amendment Act, 2015, in Crime No.99 of 2017 on the file of the respondent Police, has filed this petition seeking a direction to the Trial Judge, to consider his bail application on the same day on merits.
2. Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice for the respondent.
3. Heard both sides.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned District and Sessions Judge, Villupuram (Special Judge for SC & ST Act), is directed to accept the surrender of the petitioner and consider his bail application on the very same day purely on the basis of merits and to pass suitable orders, in the event of the petitioner surrendering before the said court within 15 days from today and filing of petition seeking bail.
5. This petition is ordered accordingly.
