JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 4, apart from perusing the record. Since the issue lies in a narrow compass, this Court proposes to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage itself. 2. Briefly stated, the petitioner, who was appointed as Upper Primary School Assistant on 01.06.1999 in a regular retirement vacancy in the school under the management of the fifth respondent, had her services subsequently approved. On 15.07.2003 on the ground of division fall, the petitioner was retrenched from service. Later, the petitioner was re-appointed as Lower Primary School Assistant during the year 2007-08 in a retirement WPC 31078/14 2 vacancy. Though in terms of staff fixation order for the year 2007-08 seven regular posts (four posts of LPSAs + three posts of UPSAs) were sanctioned, instead of retaining all the teachers, the appointment of the petitioner was not approved by the authorities on the ground that the school became uneconomic. Under those circumstances, the fifth respondent Manager filed Exhibit P4 revision before the second respondent, whereas the petitioner filed Exhibit P6 revision before the first respondent. Complaining of their non-disposal, the petitioner has approached this Court.
3. Though the petitioner and the fifth respondent Manager have taken out parallel statutory proceedings, it is desirable to have either of them decided so as to avoid conflicting adjudication. Accordingly, it suffices if the first respondent is directed to dispose of Exhibit P6 revision filed by the petitioner.
WPC 31078/14 3 In the facts and circumstances, having regard to the respective submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader, this Court, without adverting to the merits of the matter, disposes of the writ petition with a direction to the first respondent to consider Exhibit P6 revision of the petitioner in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
