The petitioner has approached this Court seeking for police protection. The complaint of the petitioner is that he was residing in building No.417 in Ward No.IV of Udumbannoor Grama Panchayat for the last 22 years and when he and his family had gone out of town on 14.11.2014 and when they came back on 17.11.2014, it was noticed that the first respondent forcibly trespassed and started residing in the house. First respondent is the petitioner's brother. According to the petitioner, the first respondent has no right in respect of the said property.
2. Having regard to the contentions raised by the petitioner, we do not think that it is a case where the petitioner can seek police protection. The fact that the first respondent is the petitioner's brother and he has WP(C).32127/14 2 started residing in the said building itself indicates that there is some dispute with his brother, in which Police cannot interfer. The petitioner can approach Civil Court and obtain necessary orders. However, we only observe that if any offence is committed or attempt to commit any offence, it shall be open for the petitioner to approach the Police, who shall look into the matter and do the needful.
