JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mr.V.Anandhamoorthyu, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondents and by consent the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider his application dated 24.07.2017 and allot the flat at A2, Tamil Nadu Housing Board, Neithal Nagar, Ernavur, Chennai 57, to him.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner gave an application on 24.07.2017 to allot Flat No.A2, Tamil Nadu Housing Board, Neithal Nagar, Ernavur, Chennai 57, however, the 2nd respondent has not passed any order so far.
4. Mr.Anandhamoorthy, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 24.07.2017 and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks' time.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 24.07.2017 and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner.
With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
