Dr.P.Santhi vs The Vice Chancellor

Madras High Court|15 September, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to quash the notification dated 25.11.2016 issued by the second respondent- University. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that the age limit, originally prescribed by the respondent-University in the notification, was subsequently deleted from the notification and therefore, the modified notification is in violation of the rules in force.
2. However, the learned counsel, appearing for the University, fairly made a submission that the age limit originally prescribed will be incorporated in the notification and a fresh notification will be issued in this regard.
3. Thus, the grievances of the writ petitioner is redressed and accordingly no further adjudication is required on merits in this writ petition.
4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
