JUDGMENT / ORDER

Antony Dominic, J. 1. Petitioner is the applicant in O.A.688/14 filed before the Kerala Administrative Tribunal where she sought for a direction to the first respondent to consider Annexure A7 representation in which she prayed that the leave period availed of by her for study purposes may be treated as eligible leave so that she could draw pay and allowances. There was also a prayer challenging Annexure A4 by which leave under Appendix XII B of Part I K.S.R. was granted to her for study purposes. In its order dated 4.4.2014, the Tribunal dismissed the OA mainly on the ground that the petitioner was guilty of delay and laches and acquiescence. It was also held that the claim was barred by limitation. It is challenging this order, the OP is filed.
2. We heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. It was by Annexure A4 order dated OP(KAT).382/14 2 10.10.2006, the petitioner, who was then a staff nurse, was granted leave without allowance for 5 years for study purposes with effect from 8.8.2005 to undergo M.B.B.S course. It was challenging that order, the OA in question was filed by the petitioner in April, 2014. Evidently therefore, the petitioner is guilty of delay and laches and the Tribunal is justified in its conclusion.
Original petition fails. It is accordingly dismissed.
