JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard M/s.R.Subramanian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.P.R.Dhilipkumar, learned counsel appearing for the first and second respondents.
2.By the impugned order, a demand of Rs.6,67,334/- has been raised on the petitioner without due enquiry and assigning any reason. Such an order cannot be sustained in the eye of law, especially when it got several consequences.
3.Accordingly, the impugned set aside and the writ petition stands allowed. However, liberty is given to the first respondent to issue a fresh show cause notice indicating the reason for the proposed demand. After getting the reply from the petitioner, if any, appropriate final order can be passed thereafter. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
