JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for mandamus directing the fifth respondent University to exhibit the number of vacancies available in the fifth respondent University for the Post Graduate Courses so that it can be filled up as per the Regulation of the 6th respondent.
2. When the matter is taken up today for admission, the learned standing counsel appearing for the fifth respondent University submitted that already a Government Order was issued by the second respondent in G.O.(D)No.179, Higher Education (H1) Department dated 25.03.2017 and in view of the details furnished in the said Government Order, the petitioners' apprehension does not survive any more.
3. The learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that in view of the above said Government Order passed by the second respondent, the writ petition may be closed by recording the relevant averments made in the above said Government Order, more particularly, at Paragraph No.5 r/w Annexure I & II, which read as follows: "5. The Government after careful examination of the proposal of the Registrar (i/c), Annamalai University, direct the Secretary, Selection Committee, Office of the Director of the Medical Education to fill up the 117 seats in Post Graduate Degree Programmes in Medicine and 20 seats in Dentistry in Rajah Muthiah Institute of Health Sciences in Annamalai University through the Selection Committee, Office of the Director of Medical Education, Chennai-10. The details of seats and guidelines are annexed (Annexure I & II) to this order."
4. Considering the above stated facts and circumstances and in view of the above order passed by the second respondent dated 23.05.2017, this writ petition is closed by recording the above stated facts and circumstances. No costs.
