JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioner's passport has been impounded on account of advanced report by the Police stating that the petitioner is involved in criminal cases.
2. Petitioner's present grievance is that he needs urgently to travel abroad and therefore fresh passport is necessary. If the petitioner produces permission in terms of Ashok Kumar v. State of Kerala - 2009 KHC 557 from the Magistrate's Courts where the cases are pending, fresh passport shall be issued to the petitioner in Tatkal scheme to enable the petitioner to go abroad.
3. Therefore, if the petitioner moves an application before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Judicial First Class Magistrate Courts-II, III and V, Thiruvananthapuram, the application shall be considered within three days of moving W.P.(C) No. 13790/2014 -2-
such application and pass appropriate orders. If the petitioner is granted permission, the passport authority shall issue passport to the petitioner in Tatkal scheme for a shorter period.
