Shaffique, J. Petitioner is the Principal of Sree Narayana College, Alathur. He has approached this Court seeking police protection complaining of the inaction on the part of the police in not interfering with the law and order situation being created by party respondents. The petitioner relies upon judgments of this Court in which it is clearly indicated that political parties have no right to interfere with the functioning of the college.
2. Counter affidavit is filed by the 11th respondent inter alia stating that though he has been suspended from the college, at the instance of the University, he was asked to be taken back. According to him, there is no law and order situation in the college and semester examinations are being conducted.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner also submits that after the interim order was passed by this Court on 10.11.2014, on the request of the petitioner, police came to the college and provided necessary assistance.
4. Having regard to the aforesaid submission, we are of the view that if any law and order situation arises in W.P(C) No. 20954 of 2014 -: 2 :-
the college at the instance of the party respondents or their men, on the request of the petitioner, police shall look into the matter and do the needful.
With the above observation, the writ petition is closed.
