This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner as temporary Assistant Surgeon (Specialty) Radio Diagnosis at Coimbatore Medical College as per Notification No.11MRB/2017, dated 20.09.2017 issued by the 3rd respondent.
2.It is stated that the petitioner is a post graduate in Radio Diagnosis. Pursuant to the Notification No.11/MRB/2017, dated 20.09.2017 issued by the 3rd respondent, the petitioner applied for the post of temporary Assistant Surgeon (Specialty) Radiodiagnosis. After certificate verification, the petitioner was invited to attend the counselling for appointment to the said post on 15.11.2017. During the course of counselling, the petitioner opted for Coimbatore Medical College, for the post of temporary Assistant Surgeon (Specialty) Radiodiagnosis. But, he was not issued with any appointment order. Apprehending his non-selection, the petitioner has come to this Court with the present writ petition.
3.Mr.K.Venkataramani, learned Additional Advocate General, appearing for the respondents, after taking instruction, submitted that the petitioner along with other candidates appeared for the said post and that the petitioner and another person were accommodated at Coimbatore Medical College. The petitioner was asked to serve in Coimbatore Medical College itself as Radiodiagonsis.
4.In view of the above, the prayer sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition has become infructuous. The Writ Petition is accordingly closed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No costs.
