3.The Convener Committee rep.by its Law Secretary Manonmaniam Sundaranar University Tirunelveli ... 2nd Respondent in W.A.(MD) No.727 of 2012 PRAYER (in Cont.P.(MD) No.367 of 2014): This petition is filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 to initiate contempt proceedings against the Contemnors / respondents and to punish them for the willful disobedience of the order in M.P.No.1 of 2012 in W.A.(MD) No.727 of 2012, dated 06.01.2014.
PRAYER (in W.A.(MD) No.727 of 2012): Appeal is filed under Clause 15 of the Letters Patent, against the order, dated 14.09.2012, passed in M.P.(MD) No.2 of 2012 in W.P.(MD) No.2626 of 2012.

2. The contempt petition, in Cont.P.(MD) No.367 of 2014, has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order, dated 06.01.2014, made in M.P.No.1 of 2012 in W.A.(MD) No.727 of 2012. Whereas the writ appeal, in W.A.(MD) No.727 of 2012 has been filed challenging the order, dated 14.09.2012, passed in M.P.(MD) No.2 of 2012 in W.P.(MD) No.2626 of 2012.
3. Since it is represented that as of now, the petitioner is retired from service, we are inclined to close the contempt petition as well as the writ appeal and hence, we called for the writ appeal to be closed along with the contempt petition.
4. In view of the fact that, the petitioner is retired from service, both the contempt petition as well as the writ appeal are closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
