Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.P.Chittibabu, Inspector of Police, Thanjavur East Police Station, Thanjavur District, is present. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the order dated 31.08.2016 passed by this Court has been complied with and a regular case was registered in Crime No.132/2017 under Sections 294(b), 324 and 506(ii) IPC.
2.Recording the same, this Contempt Petition is closed with a direction to the respondent police to proceed with the investigation in Crime No.132/2017 unbiasedly either filing closure report or chargesheet, as the case may be.
