Heard Sri R.S. Gupta, learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
The petitioner in the writ petition is seeking a direction to the respondents to grant him first DACP in the grade pay of Rs. 6600/ with effect from 25.2.2016 on completion of four years of regular and satisfactory service and further to grant him promotion from Medical Officer Level-1 to Senior Medical Officer/Medical Officer Level-II with effect from 18.12.2017, the date on which his alleged juniors are stated to have been promoted.
No useful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending.
This writ petition is, therefore, disposed of with a direction that if the petitioner prefers a representation before the respondent no.1, the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Medical health and Family Welfare, Government of U.P. Lucknow within fifteen days from today in respect of the relief claimed by him in this writ petition, the respondent no.1 shall consider and decide the said representation in accordance with law within a further period of three months.
It is made clear that the Court has not adjudicated the claim of the petitioner on merits.
