For Petitioner : Mr.M.Sridhar O R D E R The petitioner, who is the husband of the respondent, has filed the above Civil Revision Petition to direct the II Additional Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the Original Petition in H.M.O.P.No.2941 of 2015, within a time frame.
2. The petitioner filed the the Original Petition in H.M.O.P.No.2941 of 2015 for divorce on the ground of cruelty. The respondent-wife filed her counter and is contesting the petition.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioner submitted that though the Original Petition was filed in the year 2015, the Family Court has not yet disposed of the same. That apart, the learned counsel also submitted that in view of the long pendency of the matter, the petitioner is put to hardship and prejudice.
4. Having regard to the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioner and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Civil Revision Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the II Additional Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the Original Petition in H.M.O.P.No.2941 of 2015, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With this observation, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of.
No costs.
