On 10.12.2019, the following order was passed by this Court:
"By the impugned order, the petitioner's medical bills have been refused to be paid on ground that Writ ? A No.3495 of 2019 is pending before this Court and his claim can be considered only after decision of the aforesaid writ petition. In Writ ? A No.3495 of 2019 affidavits have already been exchanged.
Put up this matter along with the connected writ petition on 19.12.2019 in the additional cause list at 2.00 p.m."
Sri Sharad Chandra Upadhyay, learned State Law Officer, on instructions received from the Chief Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Basti has produced an order dated 10.12.2019 enclosed with written instructions dated 17.12.2019 which indicates that towards payment of the petitioner's medical bills, approval has been granted by the Chief Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Basti. A perusal of the said order indicates that a sum of Rs. 1,40,178/- have been approved towards medical bills payable to the petitioner and the said amount has been authorised to be paid from the appropriate head of Government account. Now, that this stand has been taken by the respondents, in particular, by the Chief Medical Superintendent, District Basti, it is ordered that the said amount of Rs. 1,40,178/- shall be credited to the petitioner's account within a period of one week, if not already credited.
There is a further order of 10th December, 2019 indicating that a sum of Rs. 37,987/- has been ordered to be paid towards medical bills of the petitioner. The said order also indicates that the money has been ordered to be debited to the appropriate head of Government account. The sum of Rs. 37,987/- shall, likewise, be credited to the petitioner's account within a week, unless already credited.
This writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of in terms of the aforesaid orders. There shall be no order as to costs.
The written instructions received from the Chief Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Basti shall be retained on record and made part of it.
