Sri Kshitij Shailendra, learned counsel for the respondent-University submits that the matter of calculation of amount in respect of 5th and 6th Pay Commission recommendation, is being considered by the University for which some time may be granted so that the amount may be calculated correctly and if any amount is found due and payable, the same may be paid to the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent-University jointly submit that the computation with regard to the 7th Pay Commission recommendation has been finalized and the same has been paid to the petitioner without interest. Therefore, there is no dispute with regard to the amount paid to the petitioner in consequence to the 7th Pay Commission recommendation but the dispute in that regard remains only for interest.
In view of the statement made by learned counsel for the respondent- University regarding the matter of the petitioner being examined with respect to arrears of the petitioner pursuant to 5th and 6th Pay Commission recommendation, the present writ petition is disposed off directing the respondent-University to compute the entire amount as per 5th and 6th Pay Commission recommendation, within four weeks from today and the amount, if any, found due and payable to the petitioner shall be paid to him within next two weeks. The question of payment of interest shall also be examined by the respondent-University within the aforesaid period and if any amount towards interest is found due and payable to the petitioner, the same shall also be paid to the petitioner within the aforesaid period.
