JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Kshitij Shailendra, learned counsel for the respondent nos. 4 and 5 and Sri Abrar Ahmad learned counsel for the respondent no. 6 and Sri Rijwan Ali Akhtar, learned counsel appearing for the University Grant Commission.
The first respondent, Jagat Taran Girl's Degree College, duly affiliated with the University of Allahabad, Prayagraj, vide Advertisement No. 01/2017 dated 10.10.2017, invited applications for the post of Assistant Professor and Librarian in various subjects including English Literature. Petitioner having the requisite academic qualification applied for the post of Assistant Professor for English Literature.
By the instant writ petition, petitioner seeks the following reliefs:
"(a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari to quash the entire selection for the post of Assistant Professor in English Literature done as per Advertisement dated 10.10.2017.
(b) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to prepare fresh roster of the candidates for the year 2017-18 and call for the fresh interview for the post of Assistant Professor English Literature in Jagat Taran Girl's Degree College, Prayagraj to implement the reservation policy issued by University Grants Commission through O.M. dated 05.03.2018."
On specific query, learned counsel for the petitioner admits that the selected candidates have not been impleaded as respondent party.
Learned counsel appearing for the University, at the out set, has drawn the attention of the Court to the communication dated 27.06.2018 (annexure no. 7 to the writ petition) issued by the college, addressed to the petitioner, wherein, the requisite information sought by the petitioner under the Right to Information Act, 2005, relating to the selection to the post of Assistant Professor was furnished. It is noted therein that the Academic Performance Indicator (API) score as provided by the Screening Committee, insofar, it relates to the petitioner is 31.3, whereas, the score of the candidates selected is at 63.6 and the last candidate selected is having score at 38.1. In other words, petitioner is placed much below the last selected candidate.
It is further noted in the communication that as per UGC regulation and the guidelines of the Allahabad University, 15 candidates were called for each post. They were awarded marks by the Screening Committee, the score of the 30th candidate was at 38.1. Petitioner was not called for the interview as she lacked the requisite screening marks amongst the 30 candidates short listed for the interview.
On being confronted with the communication, learned counsel for the petitioner, neither disputes the facts noted therein nor the said communication and the contents, therein, have been assailed in the instant writ petition.
Learned counsel for the petitioner finally submits that representation be directed to be decided by the fifth respondent, Vice Chancellor, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj.
Having due regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, in particular, that the factum of score obtained by the petitioner is not being disputed, the petition lacks merit and is accordingly dismissed.
No cost.
