This Writ Petition coming on for Preliminary Hearing in ‘B’ Group, this day, the Court made the following:

In this petition, the petitioner, inter alia, has assailed the validity of the order dated 17.09.2016 passed by the Karnataka Medical Council, by which the Council decided to remove the name of the petitioner from the Karnataka Medical Registry for a period of two years from the date of issue of the order.
2. A Bench of this Court vide ad-interim order dated 19.10.2016 had stayed the operation of the order dated 17.09.2016. The period of two years has expired on 16.9.2018. Therefore, the impugned order has lost its efficacy. Hence, it is quashed.
In the result, the writ petition is disposed of.
