Petitioner claims that he was appointed on contractual basis on 29.8.2005 and his contract was not renewed with effect from 19.3.2019 on account of pendency of a criminal case. Petitioner claims that criminal case has now been decided by judgment and order 18.11.2020 whereby the petitioner was exonerated of charges against him. The petitioner, after acquittal, moved an application for appointment on the post of which his contract was not renewed since 19.3.2009. The said representation is pending.
Considering the nature of appointment and the fact that the petitioner's contract was not renewed since 19.3.2009, prima facie, the petitioner has no right. Thus, no consequent duty occurs on the respondents to decide the representation.
The writ petition lacks merit is dismissed.
