Sri Seemant Singh, learned counsel for the petitioners in Writ Petition No. 22349 of 2016 has stated before us that petitioners are no longer desirous of pressing their petitions in view of the fact that a subsequent challenge laid to the amended provisions of Section 31 (E) of the Act of 1980 has failed with dismissal of Writ Petition No. 22209 of 2018.
In view of the statement made, Writ Petition No. 22349 of 2016 is dismissed as not pressed.
