JUDGMENT / ORDER

THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE NOUSHAD ALI WRIT PETITION No.1397 of 2014 Date: 23.01.2014 Between :
Dr. C. Venkata Ramaiah … Petitioner and V.R. College, Nellore, SPSR Nellore District, rep. by its Secretary & Correspondent and others.
… Respondents THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE NOUSHAD ALI WRIT PETITION No.1397 of 2014 ORDER :
In view of the short relief sought for by Sri P.V.S.S.S. Rama Rao, learned counsel appearing for petitioner, to direct the 2nd respondent – Commissioner of Collegiate Education to finalize the matter relating to release of arrears of A.P. revised U.G.C. scales of pay to the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of after hearing both the learned counsel.
2. The petitioner is working as a Reader in Botany in the 1st respondent-College. Consequent upon the revision of pay scales, the 2nd respondent by letter Rc.No.265/Admn. V-2/2012, dated 18.03.2013 called for the particulars of teaching and non-
teaching staff from the managements of the private aided institutions for taking steps with regard to payment of arrears of salaries. It is stated that the 1st respondent submitted all the required particulars on 20.03.2013. The grievance of the petitioner is that though considerable time has elapsed, the 2nd respondent has not finalized the matter. The learned counsel for petitioner would, therefore, submit that a direction be issued to finalize the matter within a time frame.
3. The learned Government Pleader for Higher Education appearing for the respondents has no objection to grant such a limited direction.
4. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the entitlement of the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd Respondent - Commissioner of Collegiate Education to finalize the matter relating to release of arrears of A.P. revised U.G.C. scales of pay to the petitioner and issue appropriate proceedings as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of the receipt of a copy of the order. No order as to costs.
5. In view of disposal of the writ petition, W.P.M.P.No.1661 of 2014 shall stand closed as unnecessary.
