The petitioner is the owner-in-possession of the property situated in Resurvey No.74/3, Block No.31/3 of Venganoor Village. The petitioner submits that he was away from the native town and so he could not remit the land tax for several years. Petitioner has submitted an application to the 1st respondent as per Ext.P3. The petitioner has approached this Court on account of the refusal to accept land tax in respect of the aforementioned property. 2. The learned Government Pleader on instruction would submits that if the petitioner produces title deed and encumbrance certificate, the revenue officials are prepared to accept the land tax. That be so, the petitioner shall produce the title deed and encumbrance certificate and on verification if it found genuine, necessarily the land tax shall be accepted from the petitioner.
Writ petition is disposed of as above.
