Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel.
This petition has been preferred for a direction for the grant of benefit of promotion at par with other junior officers. This plea is basically based upon the directions issued by a Division Bench of this Court in Writ-A No.42583 of 2018.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that subject to all contentions on merits being left open, the 1st respondent shall duly evaluate the claim of the petitioner for promotion and dispose it of, in accordance with law and preferably within a period of three months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
Accordingly and without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, this petition shall stand disposed of in light of the statement noted above.
