JUDGMENT / ORDER

Court No. - 34
Case :- WRIT - A No. - 24348 of 2015 Petitioner :- Dr. Asif Ali Syed Respondent :- The Aligarh Muslim University And 2 Ors.
Counsel for Petitioner :- Rishi Chadha Counsel for Respondent :- Ikram Ahmad,Fahd Iqbal,S.C.,Shashi Nandan,Udayan Nandan Hon'ble Sudhir Agarwal,J. Hon'ble Neeraj Tiwari,J.
1. Called in revise. None appeared to press this writ petition. Sri Teerath Raj Shukla holding brief of Sri Ikram Ahmad, advocate is present for respondent- University. In the circumstances, we ourselves have perused the record.
2. By means of present writ petition, petitioner has sought following reliefs:
"1. Issue a writ, order or suitable directions in the nature of mandamus commanding the Respondent No. 1, to consider and grand promotion to the petitioner on the post Reader/ Associate Professor (under CAS) in the D/o Business Admin. Aligarh Muslim University;
2. Issue a writ, order or suitable directions in the nature of 'quo warranto' directing the Respondents No. 2 & 3 to disclose the authority and jurisdiction to hold the post of Associate Professor in the D/o Business Administration and on enquiry, remove/ oust from the post held by Associate Professor;
3. Issue a writ, order or suitable directions in the nature of writ of 'Certiorari' quashing the orders vide office Memo No. Admin/LD/2483/T/ZYK dated 5.12.2014 and Office Memo Admin/LD/257/T dated 15.12.2014, qua the Respondents No. 2 & 3, namely, Dr. Ayesha Farooq and Dr. Bilal Mustafa."
3. We ourselves have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioner is not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or the petitioner has lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioner is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
