1. Heard learned counsel for petitioner and Sri Prakash Padia, Advocate for Respondent-University.
2. Petitioner has sought a writ of mandamus commanding respondents to decide his Case No. 77 of 2016 pertaining to fixation of seniority.
3. No specific matter has been mentioned but Annexure-1 to writ petition shows that large number of representations were made for the last almost 20 years in respect thereto Chancellor already passed an order on 20.03.2018 and rejected claim made by petitioner vide representations dated 16.09.1995, 16.02.1999, 21.04.2004, 22.02.2008, 03.03.2008, 25.01.2010 and 24.07.2012.
4. In respect of aforesaid representations petitioner requested Chancellor to review matter but there is no power of review to Chancellor. Therefore, representation dated Nil, copy whereof has been filed as Annexure-1 to the writ petition, is not maintainable since there is no power of review and none could be shown by learned counsel for petitioner. The writ petition is thoroughly misconceived.
5. Dismissed accordingly.
