Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel for the State.
The present petition has been filed seeking following reliefs:-
"1) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to provide requird information filed by the petitioner vide application dated 7.2.2018 under Right to Information Act, 2005.
2) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no.2 (Chief Information Commissioner, New Delhi) to decide the file no.CIC/UOALD/A/2018/151111 within a stipulated period."
Considering the averments made in the writ petition, however, without going into the merits of the case, we direct the respondent no.2 to decide the application/representation filed by the petitioner dated 7.2.2018 as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
