The relief sought for by the petitioner to hold a public meeting in Ganapathi Bus Stand at Coimbatore is of the year 2004, and the same was rejected by the first respondent, which is the subject matter of the present Writ Petition. Holding of public meeting is in respect of the year 2004, and therefore, at this distant point of time, nothing survives for consideration. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. However, dismissal of the Writ Petition will not preclude the petitioner from making a request to the respondents with regard to the conduct of a fresh meeting, if so required. No costs.
