Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel.
This petition calls in question an order by which a house which was allotted to the petitioner has been allotted to the fifth respondent. The allotment is stated to have been made initially in favour of the petitioner on 20 November 2018. This order has been cancelled within a span of two days. The respondent No.2 has noted in the order dated 22 November 2018 that the fifth respondent is senior to the petitioner and had therefore an overriding right for the allotment of the premises in question. This exercise of power is not shown to fall foul of any statutory rules of allotment.
The oral submission of the petitioner that the exercise of power is arbitrary is only noted to be rejected.
The writ petition is dismissed.
