Heard counsel for the petitioners and learned standing counsel for the State respondents.
The present writ petition under Art. 226 of the Constitution has been filed by two girls students of the institution namely Ambika Singh Inter College, Raghunath Nagar, Karan Chhapara, Ballia, seeking a direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent authorities to consider declare the aforesaid institution as self centre for girls students of the institution in respect of U.P. High School and Intermediate Board Examination 2020, within some specified period.
A preliminary objection has been raised by learned standing counsel that students have no locus standi to look into the affairs of the institution and even the application for allotment of examination centre had been filed by the committee of management of the institution and as such the writ petition at the instance of the students is not maintainable.
Preliminary objection as raised by the learned standing counsel has force.
The writ petition is accordingly dismissed with liberty to the institution in question to file petition afresh.
